About me

I am indigenous of Sardinia (Italy), an island with unreliable and expensive connections. That insularity pushed me to travel from an early age, searching for an otherness I sensed existed but couldn't see at home. I lived ten years in Germany and over twenty in Australia before relocating back to my Island.

Moving through countries and cultures, I became intrigued by the relation between memories and place, noticing how memories shape every new place we visit. From there, I found myself exploring how sound shapes memory, space, and our sense of belonging.

Cristina poses together with 4 other people in a radio studio, with microphones and equipment visible. A sign reads "SBS Radio Italian Program" with the SBS Radio logo in the corner.I was lucky to find myself in the right place (working at a national radio broadcaster in an English-speaking country) at the right moment (when people started talking about podcasts). That coincidence gave me room to experiment with the power of immersive sound narratives to evoke personal and collective experiences.

Now an independent producer - I talk to strangers, am partial to unreliable narrators, and make audio that sounds unmistakably like me, teaching others to do the same.

When I'm not playing the hustle game I spend my time collaborating with fellow creators worldwide:

Some prizes and recognitions collected along the way:
